The Sims franchise is marking its 25th anniversary with a bang, and while Electronic Arts has unveiled its celebratory plans, exciting surprises may still be in store.
A recent Sims teaser subtly alluded to the series' first two installments, sparking widespread fan speculation about a potential revival. While official confirmation is pending, Kotaku sources hint at a possible announcement later this week: digital PC releases of The Sims 1 and 2, complete with their original expansion packs.
The possibility of console versions remains unanswered, though EA's likely pursuit of capitalizing on nostalgic demand suggests a strong likelihood.
Given the age of The Sims 1 and 2, and the scarcity of legitimate ways to play them today, their return would undoubtedly be a welcome event for longtime fans.
