Following a minor leak last week, Electronic Arts (EA) has officially announced the title of their upcoming Star Wars game: Star Wars: Zero Company. This exciting project is being developed by the newly-formed studio Bit Reactor, with collaborative support from Lucasfilm Games and Respawn Entertainment.

While details are still sparse, we know that Star Wars: Zero Company will be a single-player, turn-based tactics game. Fans won't have to wait long for more information, as EA has scheduled a first look at the game during the Star Wars Celebration in Japan on April 19.

Bit Reactor, formed in 2022, is comprised of seasoned developers from renowned titles such as XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online. Although we've been aware of their collaboration with Respawn on a Star Wars game, this is the first time we've been given concrete details about the project.

Respawn's role in Star Wars: Zero Company remains somewhat ambiguous, especially in light of recent challenges the studio has faced. These include the cancellation of their own Star Wars first-person shooter last year, accompanied by significant layoffs at EA, and the recent termination of another multiplayer FPS project.

Additional information about Star Wars: Zero Company will be unveiled at a live panel on Saturday, April 19 at 4:30pm local time in Japan. For those in the U.S., mark your calendars for 12:30am PT or 3:30am ET, and set your alarms to catch all the latest updates on this highly anticipated game.
