The legendary female fighters Nina Williams, Chun-Li, and Mai Shiranui immediately spring to mind when discussing iconic characters in fighting games. While Street Fighter x Tekken featured a memorable clash between Nina and Chun-Li, a rematch isn't on the horizon.
However, Mai Shiranui's arrival as a guest character in Street Fighter 6 is a different story. It's no surprise that her gameplay trailer showcases a showdown with Chun-Li.
Mai's signature moves are all present, her Super looks spectacular, and she's poised to become a fan favorite in Street Fighter 6. Sadly, Capcom's announcement of a February 5th release date means a three-week wait.
Let's hope the Street Fighter 6 team keeps us entertained with additional content in the meantime.
