Following months of speculation and leaks, Nintendo has officially announced the Nintendo Switch 2. A brief teaser showcased a refined design while retaining the hybrid functionality of its predecessor.

The teaser highlighted a larger screen, a more robust kickstand, and magnetically attaching Joy-Cons – a significant change from the original's rail system. An additional USB-C port on the console itself was also confirmed.

Ticket registration opens January 17th, 2025, at 12:00 P.M. PT / 2:00 P.M. CT / 3:00 P.M. ET, closing January 26th, 2025, at 11:59 P.M. local time for each location. A Nintendo Account is required. A lottery system will determine attendees.
