Ticket to Ride: Switzerland Expansion Brings New Routes and Challenges!
The popular digital board game, Ticket to Ride, is expanding its routes with the new Switzerland expansion! This exciting addition introduces country-to-country and city-to-country connections, opening up strategic gameplay possibilities across Switzerland and its neighboring nations. Build your railroad empire across a wider landscape and conquer new challenges.
The expansion also delivers a festive gift for Ticket to Ride enthusiasts: two brand-new characters and four fresh tokens. Marmalade Games, the developer, aimed to provide a holiday treat, adding not only new locations but also fresh mechanics to the gameplay. These new route types demand a revised strategy, forcing players to adapt and optimize their railroad building. Whether you're a seasoned expert or a newcomer, the expansion promises a dynamic and engaging experience.
Country-to-country tickets require connecting specific countries, offering multiple choices and varying point values. For example, you might connect France to Germany, Italy, or Austria, each yielding a different reward. City-to-country tickets operate similarly, but involve linking a city to a country. Each country features a limited number of nodes, requiring careful planning and strategic decision-making to secure the most valuable routes.
Points are awarded based on the highest-scoring connection for completed tickets. Conversely, failing to complete a ticket results in a point deduction based on the ticket's lowest value.
The Switzerland Expansion is currently available on Google Play, the App Store, and Steam, with upcoming releases on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox. Stay updated on all things Ticket to Ride by following MarmaladeGames on Facebook and Instagram.
