A week after its initial tease, the latest update for Torchlight: Infinite has arrived, ushering in the season of Sandlord to the action RPG. This new season introduces fresh mechanics, inviting players to build and expand their empire within the Cloud Oasis to maximize their loot potential.
Players can earn valuable resources by defeating enemies in the Netherrealm, which can then be utilized to unlock various bonuses, establish trade routes, and reap economic rewards across five distinct professions. This adds a strategic layer to resource management and empire building.
Joining the action is the corrupted divine channeler Thea, who brings a powerful Desecration skill perfect for those who enjoy damage-over-time strategies in combat. Her presence underscores the allure of the Dark Side, which, as they say, comes with its own perks.
The Deep Space region has been revamped to maintain player engagement, introducing a new reward modifier item called Probes that can enhance rewards. However, this comes with a twist: monsters in this area are now more formidable, requiring players to sharpen their strategic skills to navigate the increased risks and challenges.
Alongside these updates, new Legendary Stages and the Sea of Rites have been added. In the Sea of Rites, players can take down non-aggressive Goblins for a chance to summon a secret boss, adding an element of surprise and excitement to the gameplay. The Sands of Fortune event, running until May 1st, offers participants a shot at a $250,000 cash prize pool by completing new tasks.
For those eager to dive into the action of this ARPG, Torchlight: Infinite is available for free on the App Store and Google Play, with in-app purchases available. To stay updated on all the latest developments, you can join the community on the official Twitter page or visit the official website.
