RGG Studio recently unveiled a cryptic teaser for their next game at Anime Expo, promising fans a "surprising" new entry. Let's delve into the details.
At the 3rd day of Anime Expo 2024 in Los Angeles, RGG Studio hosted "Essence of Fandom: Like a Dragon & Yakuza Experience." The event, moderated by Linda "VampyBitMe" Le, featured Like a Dragon Chief Producer Hiroyuki Sakamoto and Ichiban Kasuga's voice actor, Kazuhiro Nakaya.
During the event, attendees received a tantalizing hint about the upcoming game: "We can't tell you what kind of game it is, but I will tell you, you'll be surprised." This was reported by @TheYakuzaGuy on Twitter, who also confirmed it's a new addition to the Like a Dragon franchise.
Given the series' shift from action beat 'em up to JRPG with Like a Dragon 7, the nature of this "surprise" is wide open.
