HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its launch day revenue in July 2024.
According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero's total mobile revenue has now exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters like Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, alongside enhanced gameplay mechanics, new areas, and game modes, all encouraging increased player spending.
The free availability of Harumasa, coupled with a focused banner featuring Hoshimi Miyabi, significantly contributed to this revenue surge.
Remarkably, the 1.4 update sustained player engagement far beyond the typical post-update decline. Daily revenue remained above $1 million for over 11 consecutive days, and even after two weeks, it held steady above $500,000.
While undeniably successful, Zenless Zone Zero's revenue still trails behind HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
