Airi may not be the most eye-catching character in Blue Archive, but her specialized support abilities can prove invaluable in the right contexts. In this RPG, she stands out for her ability to manipulate attack speeds through debuffs and buffs, offering a unique approach when controlling the pace of battle is more crucial than sheer damage output. While she might not be a common pick for everyday gameplay, Airi shines in specific late-game challenges like ShiroKuro (Insane), where her skills can cleverly influence boss mechanics.
For newer players or those focused on general progression, Airi might not be a priority. Her EX Skill comes with a high cost and situational utility, and her overall effectiveness can be limited in scenarios where enemies remain in cover or are stationary. Yet, for veteran players aiming to fine-tune their strategies for endgame raids, Airi can be a valuable asset when utilized strategically.
Airi’s toolkit revolves around controlling the speed of combat. Her Sub Skill passively enhances the Attack Speed of all allies, while her Basic Skill frequently slows down the Attack Speed of a single enemy. This combination can tip the scales in your favor, particularly in battles where timing and disrupting enemy attacks are key.
When building Airi, you don't need to focus on maximizing damage. Instead, prioritize her survivability and uptime on the field to ensure her skills remain active and impactful.
In combat, Airi typically operates passively. Her Sub and Basic Skills trigger automatically, requiring minimal player intervention, which makes her an easy-to-integrate support option.
If you decide to activate her EX Skill, do so when enemies are navigating through narrow passages or when they're clustered together. The slowing effect can hinder their ability to reposition or initiate attacks effectively. In the ShiroKuro raid, particularly during phase 2, her skills can be strategically used to alter boss attack patterns and optimize your team's damage output.
However, outside of these specific scenarios, using Airi's EX Skill might not be worth the 5 SP cost, especially given its soft crowd control nature.
While Airi may not be a staple in every lineup like some of the top-tier characters, her niche utility in late-game content like ShiroKuro (Insane) can make a significant difference when timed correctly. For most content, though, she remains a specialized support unit best reserved for situations that align with her strengths.
If you decide to leverage her abilities, focus on enhancing her Sub Skill and incorporate her into teams that benefit from speed manipulation. For the best experience in managing her skill activations and executing raid strategies, consider playing Blue Archive on a PC with BlueStacks for smoother gameplay and enhanced performance.
