The series boasts over 30 titles, but this ranking focuses solely on the mainline entries, excluding spin-offs, mobile games, VR experiences, and side-scrolling adventures like *Bloodlines* or *Liberation*.

The journey began in 2007 with Desmond Miles' Animus adventures as Altaïr. Now, 18 years later, *Assassin's Creed Shadows* transports players to 16th-century Japan as Naoe and Yasuke. This latest installment, the 14th in the core series, prompted me to create an IGN Tier List ranking based on personal enjoyment. See my ranking below:

For me, *Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag* reigns supreme. Its blend of island exploration, naval combat, and vibrant characters delivers the quintessential *Assassin's Creed* experience. *Assassin's Creed II*, the game that propelled the franchise to stardom, shares the top tier. *Valhalla*, surprisingly, lands in A-tier; I thoroughly enjoyed its Viking-inspired combat and the addictive Orlog minigame. *Unity*, with its breathtaking recreation of revolutionary-era Paris, also earns a high ranking, even a decade later.
