How and Where to Find All Templar Members in Assassin’s Creed Shadows (Spoilers)

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains spoilers for Yasuke’s personal story and the Templar involvement in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Following rumors of past adversaries reappearing in Japan, Yasuke's Past quests require completing the Templar Hunt Objective Board. This guide details the location and assassination of each Templar target in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, beginning with Kimura Kei.

How to Find Templar Kimura Kei in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Your first clue to Kimura Kei's whereabouts comes from a ronin in Kii. Locate him at the inn in Takahara Village, along the central Nakahechi Route (use Scouts if needed; the building is marked with green flags near a cherry blossom tree). Speak to the Oda Clan-attired ronin to learn about Kumabe Ujiie.

Locating Kumabe Ujiie

Kumabe Ujiie is in northern Kii, at a cemetery in Koyasan, northeast of Kongobuji Temple. He's with ronin escorts; avoid confrontation. Choose "I seek guidance" when speaking to him. Following him reveals Kimura Kei's location.

How and Where to Assassinate Kimura Kei

Kimura Kei's training grounds are southwest Kii, north of the shore, midway between Sazae Oni Shores and Nakahechi Route. Follow his students to find him. He'll recognize Yasuke, initiating a confrontation.

Expect numerous ronin attacks. Use your best armor and weapons. Exploding red barrels along the path offer tactical advantages. This is a multi-phase boss fight; stealth assassination is impossible. Equip armor enhancing parry capabilities to counter unblockable attacks.

Phase 1: Kimura Kei primarily uses a katana. Parry his attacks for openings, utilizing posture attacks and abilities to deplete his armor.

Phase 2: He switches to a long katana and a standard katana, increasing unblockable attacks. Prioritize dodging and striking between attacks.

Phase 3 (Outdoor): He unleashes high-damage unblockable attacks with both katanas. Maintain distance and utilize ranged attacks (bow or teppo).

Rewards for Killing Kimura Kei

Defeating Kimura Kei grants 3,000 XP, Mon, the Templar-themed Destroyer Samurai Armor (reducing impact damage), and Helmet (10% damage boost per 10% missing health).

How to Find the Silver Queen in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

After defeating the Shinbakufu, the Silver Queen appears on the Templar Board, aiding Portuguese pillaging in Tamba. You'll need to speak to contacts before confronting her.

Locating and Speaking to the Spy

The spy is in southeast Tamba's Silver Lands, sitting under a structure near a cart and crates. He provides the Silver Queen's location.

Meeting the Silver Queen

Find the Silver Queen in Tada, northeast of Tada Kakurega, speaking with Portuguese soldiers. Follow her to her house; a drugged tea leads to capture in Tada Silver Mine.

Escaping Tada Silver Mine

Break out of your cell and navigate the mine, choosing stealth over combat for efficiency.

How to Locate Akechi Mitsuyoshi

The Silver Queen requests help rescuing her brother in exchange for information. Head north to Kameyama Castle after escaping Tada Silver Mine (resupply at the Kakurega near Senneji Temple if needed). Use Pathfinder, navigate the castle, and find a wounded servant who provides a key to the Tenshu.

Freeing Akechi Mitsuyoshi and Retrieving His Katana

Use the key to access Akechi Mitsuyoshi's prison. Escort him out, eliminating threats. Retrieve his katana from Baltazar after defeating him (use abilities and posture attacks). Head north to Atago Shrine and speak to Akechi Mitsuyoshi for your next target's location.

How to Find and Assassinate Nuno Caro

Nuno Caro is in western Tamba at Takeda Castle, atop a mountain. Use Pathfinder. The castle is heavily guarded; disable alarm bells. The final encounter with Nuno Caro occurs at the castle's top. He uses a sword and pistol; parry sword attacks and dodge pistol shots. Utilize abilities to inflict significant damage.
