Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) has officially claimed the title of Capcom's fastest-selling game, surpassing 8 million units sold within its first three days on the market. Capcom proudly announced this milestone on their website, highlighting the game's unprecedented success.

This achievement follows earlier reports from SteamDB, indicating over 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam alone, despite mixed initial reviews. Capcom attributes this extraordinary success to a comprehensive marketing strategy encompassing extensive promotion to a global audience, participation in major gaming events, and the strategic use of an open beta test to showcase the game's potential.

Latest Update Tackles Game-Breaking Bugs

MH Wilds recently addressed several critical bugs that hampered player progression. On March 4th, 2025, Monster Hunter's official support account, Monster Hunter Status, announced via Twitter (X) the release of hotfix patch Ver.1.000.04.00 across all platforms.

This update resolved numerous issues, including the frustrating inability to unlock the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features, inaccessibility of the Monster Field Guide, and a game-breaking bug that stalled story progression in Chapter 5-2, "A World Turned Upside Down." This patch is mandatory for continued online play.

However, some bugs remain unresolved, including a network error triggered by SOS flares during quests, and issues with Palico's blunt weapon attacks failing to inflict stun and exhaust damage. These primarily multiplayer-related bugs are slated for resolution in a future patch.
