En lugar de ajustar los Ornitópteros en sí, los desarrolladores implementaron un parche que asegura que "los jugadores ya no reciban daño por colisiones con vehículos".
Como señala PC Gamer, este cambio teóricamente resuelve múltiples problemas: protege contra jugadores tóxicos que aplastaban intencionalmente a otros en PvP, y evita muertes accidentales por errores con las motos de arena, como despeñarse por un acantilado.
Aunque cientos votaron positivamente el anuncio en el subreddit, algunos jugadores observan que los tóxicos simplemente adoptaron nuevas tácticas en lugar de detener por completo su comportamiento disruptivo.
"Los desarrolladores deberían reducir la velocidad de los cohetes mientras aumentan la de los propulsores. El PvP debería enfatizar el control en lugar de tácticas de emboscada. Los cohetes deberían asegurar objetivos, no perseguir jugadores", comentó un miembro de la comunidad.
"Las unidades de exploración no deberían llevar cohetes en absoluto", propuso otro. "Su velocidad hace que los cohetes sean desproporcionadamente efectivos. Las unidades de asalto serían más adecuadas, ya que requieren habilidad para maniobrar eficazmente mientras atacan."
"¿Es esto realmente una mejora? Quizás el daño por colisión mutua funcionaría mejor. El sistema actual no evita el acoso con Ornitópteros", agregó un tercer jugador.
Sus preocupaciones tienen fundamento. Actualmente, solo armas de nivel 6 como lanzacohetes o Lasguns pueden contrarrestar los Ornitópteros, equipamiento que requiere mucho tiempo de juego para desbloquear.
El cambio también elimina la táctica de embestir NPCs con vehículos para acelerar los encuentros de combate. Aun así, es definitivamente preferible al estado frustrante anterior.
